PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP i havnt played with my pleo for like a month and i went to charge my battery and now he no longer will work im am upsettt PLZZZ HELPPP MY POOR BON-BON

problem afther the upgrade op the latest firmware is that pleo will not move a round to mutch ,only lifting i his right fout en nek al te time ,upgrade is not e improvement,and also emailing ugoby whit no reply , do the care ??????.

Please can someone help!!!???….My son decided he no longer likes to play with Pleo…He hasn’t played with him for a couple of months!!!…I charged his battery put the battery in and I think pleo has died!!!I was going to adopt him as my pet…could I need to get a new battery???..if so where???…..thanx guys…Lindsey xx

Despite Ugobe’s clever marketing Pleo does not learn from it’s environment. The only point in which it does actually “develop” is from hatchling to adult and that happens within 45 minutes. After that Pleo reacts to the same stimuli in the exact same fashion every time (scratch chin=sing, stoke head = purr, stroke back = coo and pick up = goes to sleep) Unfortunately Pleo in it’s present form is no more independent than the inventor’s furby back in the 90’s (remember when a lot of people believed their furbies were learning?). Pleo is amazing, it’s cute and moves life like, but that’s about it. 1 hour play time (claims the battery runs longer are simply untrue) then 4.5 hours battery recharge and the realism and interaction with it becomes a non-plus, add to that ripping skin that flakes paint (yes the rubber is painted), chipping teeth plus necks and tails that are breaking (see Pleo World forums for details) and we have a prototype that is basically funding possible future bots the inventor hopes to unleash in the future.

Hi Shirley,

Sorry to hear you’re having a lot of problems with your Pleo. The battery normally lasts for about 2-3 hours for me. Albeit there are some design/manufacturing problems with Pleo i still think they are a fantastic piece of technology. If your one is having problems with the battery i would contact either Ugobe (via their online support on Pleo World or through your supplier.

Please make sure you are following the instructions when charging the battery, i had a couple of problems with the battery charging. You having to make sure the “PLEO” light isn’t flashing red.

MY PLEO DOES NOTHING BUT PUT HIS HEAD UP OR DOWN WALK A COUPLE
OF STEPS AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT THE BATTERY IS DEAD………….

FOR THE COST OF A PLEO I WOULD THINK YOU COULD HAVE USED A BETTER……
BATTERY (THE BATTERY RUNS HOT AFTER 30 MINS)

I DON’T SEE WERE HE SUPPOSE TO DO HALF OF THINGS YOU CLAIM HE CAN DO..

AM I MISSING SOMETHING……………..

AT THIS POINT I WOULD NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO BUY ONE…………….

AND I AM SENDING MINE BACK…………UNLESS YOU CAN CONVINCE ME THAT
I AM DOING SOMETHING WRONG…………

Hi Linda,

The paint on the teeth flaking off is quite a common problem with Pleo’s if you take a visit to the PleoWorld forums Ugobe has posted a note on how to fix it, it just requires buying some enamel paint.

To the person who’s Pleo falls over when balancing, yes, my Granddaughter’s does too!!! he only did it once and I think he went into shock as he didn’t look too happy but he hasn’t done it since.

One thing I’ve noticed is that Pleo seems to be losing the white colour on his teeth, is this normal? My Granddaughter is getting a bit upset thinking she is doing something wrong but is only using the leaf in his mouth?

Anyone else have this problem?
